THE COMPANY COMMUNITY CONTENT AGREEMENT
Preamble
Within the dust-laden archives and silent corridors of The Company, certain projects are permitted to escape our hands and venture into the minds of other creators. Here lie the rules and permissions that govern those additional realities—worlds that remain compatible, yet never detached from the essence of our works. This agreement defines how you may create, publish, and distribute content that interacts with The Company games, and under what conditions such content may coexist with ours.
1. Definition and Scope
This agreement governs the creation and distribution of additional content for tabletop role-playing games published by The Company (“Original Works”).
“Community Content” refers to any module, adventure, campaign, rules expansion, or narrative material created by third parties that is compatible with the Original Works.
Community Content may not rewrite, replace, or alter the core rules, setting, or base material of the Original Works.
2. Intellectual Property
All rights to the Original Works belong exclusively to The Company.
Community Content belongs to its author, but by publishing it under this agreement, the author grants The Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Mention, link to, and promote such content through official channels.
- Archive copies for preservation and reference purposes.
3. Accepted Content Types
3.1 Compatible with [GAME NAME]
- May include additional rules, adventures, campaigns, or scenarios.
- The creator may use the official “Compatible with [Game Name]” logo provided by The Company.
- Use of the game’s official logos or The Company brand name as the main title is prohibited.
3.2 The Company Approved Reality
- Material reviewed and officially approved by The Company.
- Includes access to official logos, graphic assets, and promotional material.
- Will be announced and promoted as official content.
- In such cases, The Company will receive a negotiated percentage of the profits in exchange for official endorsement.
4. Content Guidelines
Community Content must not include:
- NSFW, sexual, or pornographic material.
- Political-partisan content.
- Offensive content toward religions or specific groups.
- Material that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
The tone and setting must respect the narrative style and atmosphere of the Original Works.
5. Content Removal
The Company reserves the right to request the removal of any Community Content that violates these terms.
6. Applicable License
This agreement is based on the Community Content Agreement model, with specific adjustments for The Company. The creator retains full ownership of their work, except for the limited licenses granted herein. This is not an open license nor public domain.
